Abstract : This study was aimed to identify flavonoids and polyphenol compounds in methanolic fraction from ethanol extract of G.procumbens leaves which have antidiabetic property by Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Coupled with Quadrupole Time-of-flight mass Spectrometry (UPLC-Q Tof MS) using Waters Natural Products application solution with UNIFI. G. procumbens leaves were collected from Fame organic farm Pyin Oo Lwin. These were washed with distilled water and cut into small pieces and then air dried in the shade. Exactly 100g of dried sample was packaged and successively extracted with pet-ether (40-60°C), chloroform and ethanol by soxhlet assembling method. Isolation of flavonoids and polyphenol compounds in methanolic fraction from ethanol extract of G.procumbens leaves were carried out by liquid to solid extraction. Yield percentage of ethanol extract of G.procumbens leaves was 3.47. Alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, tannin, steroids, phenolic compound and amino acid were present by phytochemical analysis. Phenolic compounds like flavonoid which includes active ingredients (AI) quercetin and quercetin glycosides were found out by UPLC-Q Tof MS) using Waters Natural Products application solution with UNIFI. Plant phenolic compounds like quercetin and quercetin glycosides are potential candidates of natural origin to diabetes treatment. This study was evaluated the structure of quercetin compounds in ethanolic extract of G. procumbens.
